Sweet clementine, good times never seemed so good

It’s clementine season again! I just went to my neighborhood Garden of Eden and purchased 24 of the little orange beauties for $7. At 35 calories per fruit, I ate three of them for dinner. No, you’re right, they contain very little protein, but I couldn’t have just one for my first clementine escapade of the year! I am sure you could put them in salads or do other culinary things to them, but I really just like them plain as a snack. I don’t know if this is technically, nutritionally true, but in my experience, citrus seems to pack a lot of fiber, so I am glad to have them back at my local grocery after a 9-month hiatus. Very portable, very tasty and much easier to peel than an orange.
